Marvel Bites (8/21/15) — “Luke Cage” Casting News, New “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Spinoff Show, and more!

Characters From “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Getting Spinoff Show

The third season of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” doesn’t premiere until September 29th, but a new announcement says a new series is underway at ABC Studios. The new series is titled “Marvel’s Most Wanted” and will focus on the formerly married duo Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter from “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”. The executive producer and writers from “Agents” are currently developing the show, but not much information has been revealed outside of that.

“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” vs “Agent Carter” Dubsmash War For Charity

Fans went crazy for the Dubsmash contest at Comic Con this year, especially after the Hayley Atwell and James D’Arcy from “Agent Carter” included Chris Evans as Captin America in their video, winning the contest. After most of the buzz died down, Chloe Bennet and Clark Gregg from “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” posted another video, reigniting the competition, this time for charity. Earlier today, both dueling teams released a video together stating the rules of the competition, the prizes availible and the start date for the contest.

Major Villain Cast for “Luke Cage”

The latest Marvel Netflix series has yet to be released, but more news about upcoming shows is pouring in. Emmy winner Alfre Woodard has joined the Netflix series “Luke Cage” as a villain to Mike Colter’s titular character. The series follows after “Daredevil”, released this year, and “Jessica Jones”, rumored to be premiering this October. Woodard is scheduled to play a “powerful woman in local politics who will have an impact on Luke Cage’s life.” The character is rumored to be Lucia Von Bardas, but seeing as Bardas is the prime minister of Latveria and a cyborg, the rumor seems too far-fetched.

More Set Photos from “Captain America: Civil War”
